Schools
No schools at this stage are listed in this city in the sample loaded so far.
Located here is not the same as zoned here. Attendance boundaries don’t follow city limits. A home in this city may be zoned to a school in a neighbouring community, and a school on your street may draw from an area that excludes your address. Only the district’s address lookup answers that, use this list to know what exists, not to know where your child would go.
Partial list. This prototype has 45 of the 294 schools in Hillsborough County loaded, alphabetically A–C. The full directory is at NCES Search for Public Schools. Listing a school here is not an endorsement of it, and says nothing about its accreditation.
Before you rely on any of this. Do not make a real estate decision based on the information on this page. School assignment is based on your specific address, attendance boundaries are set by the district and do not follow city limits, and district data changes during the year.
Call the school and confirm with the district using the exact property address, and speak with your Realtor or representative before you buy or sign a lease. Figures here are reproduced from published state and federal files and are not verified by us.

What Florida requires
Two state health forms trip up almost every family arriving from out of state, because neither can be filled in before you get here.
Do this before you leave. The Florida Department of Health recommends getting a copy of your child's complete immunization history from your current provider before you move. A Florida provider needs that history to enter your child into Florida SHOTS and issue the DH 680, and chasing records across state lines afterwards is far harder than collecting them now.
Districts differ on whether an out-of-state physical is accepted in place of the DH 3040, and some accept an equivalent record if it includes vision, hearing, height and weight. Confirm with your district before assuming either way.
05 · The official record
Looking up a school yourself
Florida publishes a report card for every public school in the state. It's the same source we'd use, and it's so use it directly rather than relying on anyone's summary.

One thing this list won't tell you. These are the schools located in a city, not the schools a particular address is zoned to. Attendance boundaries don't follow city limits. A home in Tampa may be zoned to a school in a neighbouring community, and a school on your street may draw from an area that doesn't include your house. Only the district's address lookup answers that.
What we don't do. Florida Relocation Desk does not rank, rate or compare schools, districts or neighborhoods, and does not tell you where to live. We point you at the state's own published record and the district's own process. What you make of them is yours to decide.

Two things worth knowing
Choice, magnet and charter schools
Florida operates open enrollment across district schools with available seats, plus magnet and charter programs that admit from outside their zone. These run on application windows with fixed deadlines, often closing months before the school year begins, and missing one usually means waiting a full year. Check your district's choice office for this year's dates as soon as you know your area.
An IEP, 504 plan or gifted plan
Florida calls special education ESE, short for Exceptional Student Education, and gifted sits under the same umbrella. What transfers, what gets re-evaluated, and how fast services restart is set by state and federal rule. We've covered that separately, including each district's ESE office and its own approved written procedures.
